Sold TNA at 86.17 yesterday for a 5.94% gain.
AGQ was sold a few weeks ago for a loss of 12.5%
Had about 4x more money in the TNA account, so the AGQ loss was minimal.
I purchased SPXU at...
Anything's wiser than what I think.
EDIT: Fortunately, I didn't have much money in AGQ to begin with!!! And at least TNA might not be negative today.
My plan to keep AGQ through the end of May is still on.
I don't think the fundementals have changed... Until US interest rates begin to rise it is hard to see the dollar moving to a longer-term...
Not only are you in a leveraged fund, but you are dealing with the hottest commodity in the market right now. Many people will have many different opinions about what will happen to it... I am just...
You're right... you could make out like a bandit. I am holding AGQ until I think it is time to jump ship (ZSL). Silver is a huge unknown right now-could do anything.
Which would mean I am...
Indeed they do.
My order went through at 329.50... hopefully Silver has a few weeks left in it.
My TNA is up (Bought 81.34) about 7.5%. I am grateful to the recent incline in price as it was...
Still have my TNA shares, but put some more money into my Fidelity account. I am a frontrunner... I bought shares of AGQ. I will ride that out and then short with ZSL when the time comes.
You should be looking good pre-markey today, too.
Congrats!
So the people that make hundreds of trades a day are only trading on margin?
I know you have to wait 3 days for it to settle without margin, but when trading on margin you are basically using...
Don't blame you for doing that as I was thinking real hard about pulling out of TNA. I am gonna hold on and hope.
Seems to me that the only reason the market is down is because there is no one left to buy - everyone is in!
TNA status as of 1:23pm 4/7/2011: Bought at 81.34, current price 90.84. An 11.7% gain.
Decided to jump on it today...
Bought TNA at 81.34 on 3/25/2011 at about 10am
SOLD! To the loser in the blue shirt for $16.8738 that is a 1.7% loss.
Thinking my next trade will be early next week if the bulls keep runnin'
Haven't been up to date with my trades...
On 3/10/2011 I bought SPXU at 17.1662
Sold back into cash on Monday Feb, 28th at 80.93. Loss of 1.95%
Choppiness continues. Need one direction! Doesn't matter - up or down
No lower prices, so I will continue investing.
I leave Cash, and buy TNA (yes, again) at 82.54 on Monday Feb. 14th at around 9:35.
Yes, I missed a decent run during the first 10 trading days...
Where are the cheaper prices!!! Ah well, it is still not back up to the 79 high (TNA).
I am going to reevaluate my Cash position at the end of the week and decided if I want to go in or not. So...
TNA sold at 75.76. After 31.7% gain I go into CASH and await lower prices.
Bought :57.54
Current :77.19 (10:54am Jan 14th)
I like it... I like it a lot
I sound like a broken record. But I am staying in TNA for the second half of January. I am hoping if there are any sell-offs they will occur in February. I would not be surprised, though, if the...
So, even after 6 months the return in almost exactly 3x the Russell 2000 it is bad because you are comparing to a fund you don't even own?
Not sure it matters... Numbers are numbers. If the long...
That's an old thread. I believe the 3x funds were still in a transient stage, and have since calmed down to match the funds they are tracking fairly well over a long period of time.
5/1/2009 -...
I will be staying with TNA into January.
