The bearish case is getting pretty thin in my opinion. What more can come out to drop this thing. A bailout is inevitable. Is it factored in, I don't think so.

Good example about sentiment: This morning the boys used CSCO's earnings to take it down at the open, yet at 4PM I hear 'the market is up because of good earnings by AKAM'. Hmmm, I think CSCO is a bit more important than AKAM in the grand scheme of things, but it just shows that if earnings from AKAM can move a market 1.5% in one day when CSCO reports bad earnings, then it isn't taking much to move upwards. CSCO gained during regular hours too, how about that.

    1/30/09: Investor's Intelligence: 35% Bulls, 36% Bears

    2/4/09: AAII: 25% Bulls, 31% Bears *

1/30/09: Wall Street Sentiment: 11% Bulls, 56% Bears

    2/05/09: TSP Talk: Bulls 34%, Bears 51%

    * The AAII is interesting in that both numbers, bulls and bears, are some of the lowest of the year. There must be a lot of neutral / unsures. But the bulls percenatge stayed the same as last week, while the bears dropped from 47% to 31%.
