I hate to chase.

Sounds like what I've been doing the last two days.

GDX is moving up (33.49) despite gold being down. I am moving my stop to 31.90, just under today's low of 32.19.

Here's a newbie question. When you move your stop does it cost you an additional commission? I know you pay a commission when you buy or when you sell. But do you pay a commission to set a stop or to change a stop?

I'm so embarrassed to even have to ask this question.

Nope. No extra fees. At least at Scottrade.

What a week! No trading for me today but I was watching closely as I am still long FAZ and GDX. Think I'll go watch a movie or something - take my mind off of this for a while.

Crap! I put a limit order to sell FAZ @ 70 and the ask hit 70 (and is the day's high) but it never hit the bid.

I tried to tweak the order a bit lower and now it's down below 68. Ugh!

Bought FAZ @ 54.49

Sold FAZ @ 67.58.

Bad fill (70 was the high), but I didn't want to see the gap get filled before I could sell.

I had my stop at break even but didn't like the morning action so I took the nickle.

Thanks Gumby. After the two sales, I am now flat and waiting for next trade. I am watching GDX to see if Friday's low holds. I may be reentering.
